Verification list for maintenance and car service

Posted Thursday, Jan 12, 2023

Time flies, and sometimes our routine doesn't allow us to be aware of all the things related to our car that we are supposed to realize, or we don't know that you have to be mindful.

A person is happy when buying a car, but what happens after their purchase? Of course, you enjoy having your vehicle because it facilitates your life. You can go to work every day without complications, buy groceries whenever you want, have road trips, you can feel free and independent, etc. You can do whatever you want! But sometimes, this freedom gets overshadowed when your car starts malfunctioning, or even worse, it breaks down.

To avoid bad situations like these, the best thing to do is to be prepared and to know when to take action.

When to book an appointment for car service:

  1. If You have driven your car between 3.000 to 5.000 miles, you need to book it for preventive maintenance (oil change and filters).
  2. A warning (yellow) light on the dashboard is on, don't take too much time to take your car to the repair center. This could help you avoid future headaches. But if you see a red light on the dashboard, don't waste time and take your car immediately to an expert.
  3. If you feel a noise when pressing your brakes, your car may be requiring a brake pad replacement.
  4. If the transmission feels stiff or is not working correctly, the best thing to do is to take your car to auto maintenance, so you can prevent having major repairs like replacement. This could probably help you to evade future transmission replacement, and you can save time and money.
  5. Your ears can also help you to prevent major repairs, so be all ears when it comes to your car. Be aware of every weird or new noise you haven't heard before because that can't be good.

We recommend having a trusted repair center when you know the experts will take care of everything your car needs without charging you more, and it is also a good thing when the experts understand the car's history!

Extra tip: If your car has passed the 50.000 or 60.000 miles is better to go to have a transmission check and a tune-up.
